On February 6, the Rice Athletic Department announced plans for a $23 million renovation of the Autry Court complex that is set to being later this summer.

The countdown to the final games at Autry Court is underway, with a number of special activities and promotions leading up to the Curtain Call when the men host Tulsa on March 3rd.

FACULTY AND STAFF TICKETS

All Rice University Faculty, staff and employees are eligible to receive four (4) free tickets for the Curtain Call by showing their current Rice Univerity ID at the game.

Tickets are in the End Court seating area and will be distributed as long as supplies last. Tickets can also be picked up prior to March 3rd at the Athletic Department Ticket Office at Autry Court.

ICE CREAM AND PIZZA

Students in attendance for the women's final home game on Saturday, Feburary 24th will enjoy free ice cream at halftime, and then enjoy free pizza before the men's game, which follows the women's contest.

OWN A PIECE OF THE CURTAIN

Rice students will have a chance to own a piece of one of Autry's most familiar features, the blue curtain. Beginning with the men's game vs. UCF, all students who attend four of the last five games will be given a piece of the curtain once it is taken down.

SENIOR DAYS

Owl fans will have the chance to salute the departing seniors for both basketball teams during the countdown.

On February 24th, Rice will salute the three standout seniors on the women's team (Lauren Neaves, Samantha Stovall and Krystal Frazier) before they take on Memphis. One week later, the Owls will salute Morris Almond, Greg Killings and Lorenzo Williams prior to the final game at Autry Court.

Rice University athletics department will celebrate the 21st annual National Girls and Women in Sports Day on Saturday, February 24th before the women's game vs. Memphis. Members of the Rice women's teams will be holding a multi-sport clinic for girl's ages 6-11 years old.

The clinic will begin at 2:30PM in Fox Gym, located next to Autry Court, and will feature mini clinics in soccer, swimming, volleyball, tennis, and track & field. Lunch will be provided after the clinic before heading into to Autry Court for the Women's game vs. Memphis. Tip-off is at 5PM

The event prior to the basketball game is limited to the first 250 kids that RSVP (Tickets are $5 and include the sports clinic, lunch, a t-shirt (limited to the first 100) and admission to the women's' basketball game.
