Who knew that one of the top 10 Environmental lawyers in the world was named All-NCAA District VI in cross-country in 1976 while at Rice?
Rice University Athletics has produced its first Rice Champions book, which recognizes the outstanding accomplishments of the school's former student-athletes. The amazing stories of their continued success are meant to convey to alumni, faculty, friends, and future students the excellence achieved by Owl alumni. From the competition fields and the classrooms to the world beyond the hedges, Rice former student-athletes have built a legacy of succeeding at the highest level. The objective of sharing these stories is that others will embrace how unique Rice truly is.
Should you desire additional copies of the Champions book to share with family and friends, you can purchase them for $35, including shipping. You may also view the entire book (PDF file), or view the stories of the athletes by sport by visiting each sport's main page. Please contact Alexis Eaton, in the Office of Athletic Development, via email or at 713-348-6924 to order additional copies. Our hope is that this book will remind you to be proud of your support of Rice and the special people that are products of the Rice athletics program. |
