2007: All-College World Series Team; Freshman All-America (Collegiate Baseball/Third Team)... Conference USA All-Freshman Team... Whataburger College Classic All-Tournament Team... Worked his way into 66 of 70 games with 50 starts for the No. 1 team in the country... Made 47 starts at third base, two as the designated hitter and one at second base... Platooned at the hot corner with J.P. Padron for much of the season... Batted a steady .304 for the season and did even better at the College World Series... Hit .316 (6-for-19) with five RBI, four runs scored and a double in four CWS games... Collected hits in both Super Regional games against Texas A&M, the first of which tied the score with one out in the bottom of the ninth inning...
