Unselfishly opened-up options for the team and himself by volunteering to move to catcher in the fall training sessions... May develop into one of the better catchers in college baseball, with the same switch-hitting talent... Tremendous eye-hand coordination.

At Rice -- 2008: All-Conference USA (First Team)... Houston College Classic All-Tournament team (Most Outstanding Player)... All-Silver Glove Trophy Series team... Raised batting average 49 points from freshman season to lead the team in hitting... Played in every game and started all but one... All 61 starts were at third base... Batted third in the lineup 42 times... Hit safely in all but eight starts... Went 3-for-9 with a home run and four RBI at the College World Series... Collected six hits and a walk and scored five times with seven RBI in seven NCAA Tournament games...
