Rice-- Heads into spring looking to build on the momentum of a solid junior season.

Career Statistics

2008: Productive wide receiver who came back from foot injuries that held him out of nearly all of 2007 as well as last spring to finish fourth on the team with 30 receptions for 487 yards and three touchdowns.... Led the team with a 16.2 yards per catch average... Third on the team with 10 plays of 20 yards or better... Closed the season with a rush, topping 100 yards against both Army and Marshall... Became the fourth Owl to top 100 yards in receiving in 2008 with a career-best 104-yard day against Army... Caught a career-long, 54-yard touchdown pass... Caught four passes for a career-high 120 yards and a touchdown vs. Marshall... opened the year in the starting lineup vs. SMU and caught his first career TD pass, a 12-yarder from Chase Clement... Made three more starts, then worked as a reserve until returning to the starting lineup against UTEP and caught three passes for 75 yards.

2007-- Missed most of the season with a recurring foot injury... Missed the non-conference schedule before making his season debut against Southern Miss... Made his first catch of the year the following week at Houston for 33 yards, the longest of his career... caught three passes against Memphis for 34 yards on week later, but re-injured the foot and was lost for the remainder of the season.

2006: True freshman wide receiver who played in nine games and caught a career-high six passes in the R + L Carriers New Orleans Bowl... Made his first career catch at Tulane and his second against UCF... Contributed a key catch in the Owls' drive to their first bowl game in 45 years... Caught a 32-yard toss from Joel Armstrong on fourth down to set up the Owls 4th quarter touchdown against ECU that pulled them within two (17-15)... Started the final regular season contest vs. SMU and the R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl against Troy.

High School -- 2006 graduate of Carroll High in suburban Fort Worth... Solid member of two state championship squads for coach Todd Dodge... Helped the Dragons to a 16-0 mark and a victory in the state title game against Katy... Had 52 catches for 748 yards and 13 touchdowns as a senior, averaging 14.4 yards per catch...
