Rice-- Veteran wide receiver who found the end zone three times in 2008.
2008: Backup to James Casey at the Y receiver (tight end) who closed his season in rousing fashion, catching a pair of touchdown passes in the Owls win over Houston in the Bayou Bucket... Hauled in a career-long, 53-yard scoring pass from Chase Clement for his first score and then caught a three-yard jump pass from Casey for his second... Two of his three TDs on the year came on short passes from Casey (Tulsa and Houston).
2007: One of nine Owls to reach double figures in receptions, finishing with 13 for 156 yards and one touchdown... 12.0 yards per catch average was third on the team among receivers with more than 10 catches... Caught a career-high four passes, good for 40 yards, at Baylor... Caught three passes for 58 yards at Texas, including a career-best 39-yarder.... caught three against Houston, including his first touchdown of the season... caught a pair for 17 yards vs. Tulane. 2006: Pressed into varsity duty after Will Moss was injured... Did not play in the opener against Houston, but then played in 11 straight games, including one start against UAB... Did not make a catch in his first three games, then caught nine passes over the last eight games, finishing with 112 receiving yards... Caught a 20-yard touchdown from Chase Clement against Army for his first career catch... Caught a season-high three for 45 yards against Tulane, including a season-best, 23-yarder.
