CBS College Sports Network Adds Memphis and Tulsa Contests to '08 Schedule

A pair of Rice road games against 2007 bowl teams have been picked up by CBS College Sports Network as part of their coverage of Conference USA football action. The Owls will appear on the network on September 6 when they make their first trip to Memphis to meet the Tigers, who earned a berth last fall in the R&L Carriers New Orleans Bowl. Rice will return to the network's airwaves four weeks later then they face defending Western Division champion Tulsa, who went on to win the GMAC Bowl. Both games are set for a 7:00 (central) start time. Rice currently has three games set for television. In addition to the two games set for CBS College Sports Network, the Owls will open the 2008 campaign with a special Friday night appearance on ESPN as they host SMU. No other games are slated for television at this time. The upcoming season marks the fourth year of the six year contract between Conference USA and CBS College Sports Network, formerly CSTV.
