Owls Celebrate Youth Football This Week

The Rice Owls are inviting all Houston area youth who are currently playing football to join them this Saturday when the Owls host Marshall at 2:30. All youths who wear their jerseys to the game will be admitted for free as will any youth league cheerleaders who show up at Rice Stadium in uniform. The game will be televised nationally by CBS College Sports, so here's a chance to show off your team colors as well as your support for the Owls to the nation. Parents of youth football players can purchase their tickets in advance at discounted price. Interested parents should contact Andrew Stephens at (713) 348-5956 or by email to astephens@rice.edu Most of the current Owls began their careers playing football at an early age, and to help commemorate Youth Football Day, RiceOwls.com has put together a special photo gallery of the Owls in their younger days.
