SPRINGFIELD, La. - Bobby Thomure shot a 75 during Monday's morning round and Addison Awe equaled that score in Round Two, but Rice struggled as a team during the 18 holes played in the afternoon and dropped to 12th at the Carter Plantation Intercollegiate.

Rice shot a 312 for Round One and carded a 318 for Round Two to finish the day with a 630, 36-hole score at the Southeastern Louisiana-hosted tournament. The final 18 holes are slated for Tuesday morning.

Thomure's 75 was good for a tie for 12th Monday morning but he shot an 86 later in the day.

Awe shot an 82 for Round One and his two-round score of 157 put him in a tie for 33rd heading into Tuesday's play. Rice players Kyle Kelley, Christopher Brown and Michael Whitehead all have two-round scores of 160 and are part of a tie for 52nd.

Middle Tennessee State shot a two-under 286 Monday afternoon and has a two-round score of 586 to hold a five-stroke lead over Marquette which is currently second. Both Jacksonville State and Southeastern Louisiana are currently tied for third with 610 scores.

Marquette's Mike Van Sickle shot a 71-72 for a two-round score of 143 and leads the tournament field by two strokes. Middle Tennessee's Rick Cochran and Cedric Scotto are currently tied for second.
