Rice -- 2008: Conference USA Commissioner's Academic Medalist; C-USA Academic Honor Roll; Suffered an injury prior to the season-opener and was expected to be out for the entire year, but incredibly came back to play in the Owls' final game of the season... Completed one of the most dedicated athletic comebacks in Rice history by playing against C-USA powerhouse UCF in the league's postseason tournament... Quickly showed the comeback was to make a genuine contribution to her teammates... Entered the game in the 30th minute and registered an assist on Shelley Wong's team-leading ninth goal of the season in the 34th minute... Played a total of 45 minutes against UCF for her only appearance. 2007: ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District VI (first team); All-Conference USA (second team); C-USA All-Tournament; C-USA Commissioner's Academic Medalist; C-USA All-Academic Team; C-USA Academic Honor Roll; C-USA Player of the Week (Oct. 1); Worked hard in an offseason program to return to the lineup from an injury suffered the year before and had a sensational season... Named the team's Defensive MVP for anchoring a back line that held opponents to just 9.7 shots per game, one of the lowest totals in C-USA... Played and started 20 of the team's 21 games... Rarely came out of a game, playing 1,825 of the team's total 1,954 minutes (93.4 percent)... Assisted on a goal in the shutout win over Lamar... Came forward to take six shots, including a season-high two shots against UCF in the semifinals of the C-USA Tournament... Nominated for Academic All-America. 2006: C-USA Commissioner's Academic Medalist; Won the team's Warrior Award as the Owl who displays the most heart and desire in practices and games... Played in each of the first 15 games of the season with 10 starts as a true freshman... Worked her way into a starting role with seven-consecutive starts before being sidelined on Oct. 15... Came off the bench to score first collegiate goal on the road at Army... Also scored in wins over Houston Baptist and on the road at Stephen F. Austin... Maintained a .500 shots-on-goal percentage (7-of-14)... Played a total of 905 minutes, including all 90 minutes in three of her last four games.
